A second Chop House bar and butchery outlet has opened in Edinburgh.
Located within a C-listed brickwork arch that forms part of The Arches development on East Market Street, the new 60-cover Chop House is said to offer a “unique casual dining experience with a focus on ‘Best of British’ steak and innovative cocktails”. An original recipe Chop House Summer Ale has also been created for the venue at Drygate Brewery in Glasgow.
Mark Fraser, managing director of The Compass Group, which opened the inaugural Chop House in Leith last September and also owns Edinburgh venues Sygn, Monteiths and The West Room, said: “The new site is a fantastic continuation of the Chop House brand – staying true to the look and feel of the original whilst expressing its own character and style.”
