Glasgow brunch café Scran+Roadie will soon open its second venue as the in-house food offering of the huge new ‘SuperPark’ indoor family activity centre opening later this month at Braehead.
Founded in Finland in 2012, the SuperPark ‘global indoor leisure and recreation concept’ now has twenty-eight parks across the world, specialising in movement-based, multi-generational games that combine physical activity with digital tech.
Its new 30,000 ft² venue at the popular Braehead shopping mall on Glasgow’s south-western flank – now rebranded as Frasers Plus Braehead – will be its first in the UK, and promises to be ‘completely different’ from traditional children’s play centres and trampoline parks.
“There’s nothing passive whatsoever in SuperPark’s offering,” said SuperPark UK managing director Jonathan Doherty.
“Parents and children move, play and succeed side by side. You use your own body, you laugh, you learn.
“The result is more than just fun: it supports physical wellbeing, social interaction and mental confidence through shared, active experiences.”
Aiming to satiate the hunger that will arise from all that exertion will be Scran+Roadie’s Chris Mears, whose new venue within Braehead’s SuperPark will have capacity to seat 80 people, its own bakery, and a mezzanine floor with expansive views across the Clyde.

“We’d like to thank all our existing loyal customers in Glasgow for helping us build the Scran+Roadie brand which has created its own distinctive style over the past eight years. We give you dishes that you know and love.
“We’re putting all of this, and more, into this new second venue,” said Mears. “Too often cafes in family visitor attractions fall short of expectations. This won’t happen here. Enjoying the food in the café is an important part of the overall SuperPark experience.
The children’s menu at Scran+ Roadie SuperPark promises to be ‘jam packed with food that children love, made from scratch with quality ingredients’.
It will feature freshly prepared pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and homemade granola brunch options, whilst pizza slices and chicken tenders are on offer for more filling meals. There will also be healthy Blueberry Slushies, providing the signature purple colour of SuperPark, whilst providing a taste of Finland.
For the grown-ups, all the favourites from Scran+Roadie’s Saltmarket café will feature, including Eggs Stornoway, shawarma wraps, and New York style pizzas.
Cakes and sourdough bread will be freshly baked in-house by the Qurious Baker, with the restaurant having its own signature coffee courtesy of The Roasting Project.
“If you are celebrating a special occasion, or coming to SuperPark Glasgow in a larger group, we will be offering our popular Party Platters, just as we do at our Saltmarket Cafe,” added Mears.
