Relocated Celentano’s to open at Arthouse Glasgow this June

Anna and Dean Parker

Anna and Dean Parker’s celebrated Glasgow restaurant, Celentano’s, is to re-open at its new location within Arthouse Glasgow on 24th June 2026.

Celentano’s at Arthouse promises to be an evolution of the restaurant, which first opened in its original home, Cathedral House, off High St in the city’s East End, back in 2021.

In that old location, the Parker’s venture quickly gained acclaim for its Italian-inspired, ingredient-led dishes, and was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand within six months of opening, an accolade that it has held ever since.

But that acclaim was no defence against the sale of Cathedral House, and last year the Parker’s were obliged to seek out a new location, with the original Celentano’s closing on 31st December 2025.

Fortuitously, new British hotel group Oberland was, at the same time, in the process of taking over a striking 19th century townhouse in the centre of the city to be its first hotel, Arthouse Glasgow, with space for a 60-cover restaurant.

The new Arthouse incarnation of Celentano’s promises to ‘preserve its warm, relaxed atmosphere and Italian-influenced dishes’ – but with a new look and refreshed menu that showcase Anna and Dean’s creativity and vision for the space.

The menu will retain Dean’s ingredient-led, minimal-waste approach. Produce will often be cooked over embers to bring smoky flavours to dishes, while allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves.

Fermentation and preservation methods will continue to be a central focus of the menu, alongside nose-to-tail cookery using whole animals often butchered in-house.

The signature dishes for which Celentano’s has become renowned will remain – from seasonally-changing vegetable agnolotti, smoked cod doughnuts with kimchi, to malted barley affogato – and will sit alongside fresh additions created for the new space.

Celentano’s Negroni

The drinks offering, led by Anna, will echo the kitchen’s low-waste ethos, with seasonal cocktails made using ‘waste’ products from the kitchen. Most of the liqueurs are made in-house, including vermouth for the signature Celentano’s negroni, orange liqueur for margaritas, and 0% vermouth for its NOgroni.

The concise wine list – including wines on tap – will continue to focus on biodynamic and organic producers, changing seasonally to pair with the food menu.

Seating over 60 across one level, the new Celentano’s space will allow for almost twice as many guests as its previous home. Interior design is by A-nrd Studio, blending old iconic Glasgow architecture with modern interiors, and neutral tones with warmer textiles.

Anna said: “This version of Celentano’s will feel more like us – what we would have envisaged our restaurant like, before we ever opened Celentano’s.

“Cathedral House was such a great opportunity for us, but there was a limit on how much we could do with the space. This time we are starting with a blank canvas, and building up a brand new restaurant – working with unbelievably creative people who have the same vision as us.”
