HIGHLAND hospitality group Cru Holdings will call last orders at its Bar One cocktail bar this month as it prepares to reopen the venue as an entirely new concept before Christmas.
Cru has operated Bar One in its current guise for 13 years. It was the company’s first venue; Cru has since grown to operate seven bars and restaurants in Inverness and Nairn.
It will close its doors on 26th November before reopening in its new guise ahead of the World Cup Final on 18th December.
Cru managing director, Scott Murray, said although the business is “incredibly proud” of Bar One, the market in Inverness has shifted post-pandemic and the company is redeveloping the unit in response.
“As drinking habits change post-pandemic, we know that people are looking for new places to meet and socialise with friends and family,” said Murray.
“That’s what we are creating with our new concept – a local pub in the heart of the city – that emphasises our core values of quality and affordability.
“We’ll still be serving up world-class cocktails from Academy Street – but we’ll also be shining a spotlight on great beers, wines and spirits, too. Plus we’ll be dishing up some classic traditional pub grub.
“Although it will be difficult to say goodbye to Bar One, we’re incredibly excited for what the next phase will bring.”
Cru’s other venues include Prime, Scotch & Rye, The Wee Bar and The White House in Inverness and The Classroom in Nairn.
