Taking the frei road?

An alcohol-free version of German wheat beer Franziskaner has been launched in the UK.
Franziskaner Alkoholfrei, which joins Beck’s Blue and other low and no-alcohol beers in AB InBev’s portfolio, is brewed according to the German purity law and is described as “full of wheat beer flavours with hints of citrus, banana and spice”.
Isabelle Maratier, European marketing manager at AB InBev, said the low and no-alcohol category continues to grow in the UK.
“This crisp, refreshing brew is the perfect choice – full of German heritage and flavours with the added benefits of an alcohol-free beer,” she said.
“Brewed using natural ingredients and no artificial flavours, Franziskaner Alkoholfrei provides a premium alternative to soft drinks and other alcohol-free beverage choices available – supporting  consumers’ drive towards healthier options.”
