An Aberdeen bar has been chosen to represent the UK in an international cocktail competition.
Orchid is the only bar in the UK shortlisted as a finalist in the competition hosted by The Reykjavik Bar Summit, which is currently underway in Iceland.
The granite city bar, which opened in 2009, is competing against 15 cocktail bars from around the world in the four-day competition, which ends today (March 3). Judges will score bars on a range of criteria, including drinks menu, bar set up, the quality of service and “how they have created a positive drinking atmosphere”.
