Students’ top training trips

GRADUATES from Diageo’s Learning for Life programme are headed for placements at some of the world’s premier hospitality venues after picking up scholarships from industry charity HIT Scotland.

They will now receive further training at venues that include Buckingham Palace and Disney World.

The Learning for Life programme is a global initiative from Diageo which helps young, unemployed people into work through training in a range of different areas.

Over 250 students graduated from the Learning for Life programme in Scotland during 2014.

HIT Scotland chief executive David Cochrane said he was confident the graduates “will all forge first class careers in the hospitality sector”.
