Fyne Ales beer-and-music festival FyneFest returns for 15th year

Independent Scottish brewery Fyne Ales has had a very good 2026, celebrating its 25th anniversary, and picking up Brewery Business of the Year at the SIBA Business Awards, as well as the UK’s Best Independent Brewery Taproom award.

The celebrations are set to continue into 2027, as the brewery’s own music-and-beer festival, FyneFest, returns for its 15th year at the Fyne Ales working farm at Achadunan, Cairndow, Argyll, from 4th to 6th June.

FyneFest brings over 2000 people to Glen Fyne, where beer is at the heart of the festival, with over 100 different beers pouring throughout the weekend.

The 2027 line-up will include a selection from independent breweries across the UK, alongside beers from Fyne Ales and Origins Brewing. The festival’s main bar has no less than 72 beer lines, while a dedicated cider bar, plus wine and spirits, offer plenty of choice beyond beer.

There is also the famous Walkers Bar, which has become an annual tradition for many festival goers. Opening for just four hours on Saturday afternoon, that bar is an hour’s walk up the glen from the main festival site, and hosts a pop up cask bar beside the water.

FyneFest has live music across several stages, a ceilidh, street food, brewer talks and tastings, yoga, a charity 5k run and activities for children.

Most festival-goers camp for the weekend, with music and beer continuing through Sunday.

Head of marketing & events at Fyne Ales, Aidy Fenwick, said: “I recently came across some photos from the very first FyneFest in 2010, including one of our managing director, Jamie Delap, looking very fresh-faced behind the bar.

“Fast forward to our 14th festival this year, and he was still putting in a shift!

“It’s pretty special to be part of a festival that’s grown so much over the years but hasn’t lost what made it great in the first place,” said Fenwick.

“At its heart, FyneFest is still about family, friends, good beer and having a great time together.”
