After six years of crafting exceptional food and warm hospitality as tenants of The Kilchrenan Inn, at Taynuilt, in Argyll & Bute, Pip Pedley and Phil Carr have announced that they are now its new owners.

Under their leadership, the historic countryside pub and restaurant with rooms on the shores of Loch Awe has reportedly become a destination for both locals and visitors seeking ‘outstanding food, a relaxed atmosphere, and Highland charm’.

With Pip’s culinary creativity and Phil’s focus on service and ‘genuine community spirit’, the Inn has enjoyed remarkable growth – and now the pair are ready to take it even further.

“This place means the world to us,” said Pip. “It’s been a joy to build something that brings people together – and now, to take ownership feels like the natural next step.”

The Inn has been part of many milestones for Pip and Phil, including the birth of their son Sam during their tenancy – deepening their ties to the place they now call their own.

“Plans for the future include a continued focus on seasonal, locally-sourced menus, expanded opening hours, and further investment in the Inn’s role as a welcoming hub to global visitors in the heart of Argyll.”
