Montpelier Group ‘cornerstone’ venue Indigo Yard has launched a long term Guinness activation in its popular heated outdoor terrace, devoting the space to screenings of this winter’s international rugby fixtures.
The Edinburgh west end venue put up the black-and-white bunting for the start of November’s Autumn Internationals and won’t take it down til the end of the Six Nations tournament in the middle of March 2026.
The Guinness takeover at Indigo Yard comes complete with a self-pour Guinness wall, branded blankets, and rugby ball décor – and has already yielded results, with opening weekend Guinness pint sales reportedly up by 131%.
The venue credits the self-pour facility with fuelling an ongoing sales spike, as customers challenge themselves and their friends to pour picture perfect pints.
Indigo Yard has also put on a menu of specially created dishes, such as the Guinness Bangers & Mash.
A spokesperson for Guinness said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to bring the magic of Guinness to life in such a premium Edinburgh location.
“Indigo Yard has long been known for its atmosphere, quality and character; values that align perfectly with what Guinness stands for.
“The new terrace is a place where people can relax, connect and pour their own perfectly crafted pint in beautiful surroundings.”
The Montpelier Group said that the Diageo activation highlighted Indigo Yard’s reputation for having one of Edinburgh’s best beer gardens and underlined the group’s commitment to ‘innovative partnerships that enhance customer experiences throughout the year’.
