Camm & Hooper to ‘unlock the full potential’ of Platform at launch

Events management company Camm & Hooper has unveiled its plans to ‘redefine the event experience’ at the official launch of Glasgow’s Platform, taking place next month.

Sited under the city’s iconic Central Station bridge – the ‘Hielanman’s umbrella’ – Platform’s multi-faceted space is already a renowned events venue, not least for drinks industry trade shows.

But at the ‘immersive launch event’ on April 18th, the company is promising to unlock the full potential of Platform with a night of ‘wow’ experiences for guests.

Event professionals attending will have the opportunity to witness Platform’s adaptability first hand, with live music performances throughout the evening, alongside urban art installations by contemporary artist Ross Muir Art and up-and-coming Glasgow-based sculptor, Council Baby.

Renowned DJ collectives We Should Hang Out More and Pretty Ugly Club will also be at work, as will local band The Lines, while an ‘urban playground’ will provide the background for performances, including an impressive half pipe with master skateboarders pulling tricks.

Guests will be able to wander the space and discover drag-themed fashion, specially brewed beers from craft specialist, Brewhub, and an interactive games hall with giant beer pong and more, demonstrating the venue’s potential for engaging and innovative event formats.

All this activity will be complemented with a selection of street food and signature drinks.

Having grown by triple digits in 2023 alone, Camm & Hooper is now reportedly focused on acquiring additional venues in Scotland, Manchester, and Leeds throughout 2024.
