PUB giant JD Wetherspoon has big plans for one of its Glasgow units with the announcement of a £1.4 million refurb of The Sir John Moore in the city centre.
A major redevelopment of the site will see two former shop units next to the pub refurbished and added to the venue to create a larger customer area. The pub’s bar and toilets will also be upgraded.
The pub will close on 7th August for the work to take place, reopening to customers on 3rd October.
The company claims the project will create 40 new jobs.
Wetherspoon area manager Stewart Dumbreck said: “The Sir John Moore is an extremely popular pub.
“This investment highlights our commitment to offering our customers the best possible pub.
“We are also pleased to be creating 40 new jobs.”
