Michelin flair at The Bridge Inn

A CHEF with experience working in Michelin Star kitchens has returned to Scotland to open a new evening restaurant in an SLTN Award-winning gastropub.

Tyler King, who spent time at restaurants including Number One at the Balmoral and Castle Terrace before relocating to Germany to work at Prism in Berlin, will open Bridge 15 within  gastropub The Bridge Inn later this month.

The Bridge Inn, which was named Gastropub of the Year at the 2021 SLTN Awards, sits on the banks of the Union Canal in Ratho, seven miles outside of Edinburgh city centre. Owner the TBC Pub Company also operates the Ship Inn in Elie.

“I always knew I wanted to come back to Scotland to open a restaurant and showcase the top-quality produce we have here,” said King.

“I am ecstatic to be part of such an iconic Edinburgh gastropub and l am looking forward to bringing something new to the table for our guests.

“The menus at Bridge 15 at The Bridge Inn will be constantly evolving, with daily specials changing depending on what we receive from local suppliers.

“Being able to work on dishes with vegetables and pork sourced from the pub’s own garden is phenomenal.”

Bridge 15 at The Bridge Inn will open on 15th March, operating 6pm till 9pm Tuesday to Saturday.
