Class is in session at Mason Belles

A RESTAURANT group with venues in Linlithgow, Falkirk and Dunblane has launched its own training academy for young people entering the industry.

Mason Belles Kitchen has said its MBK Training Academy will work with local schools and colleges to promote careers in hospitality as well as offering work placements, training sessions and masterclasses.

The company said it currently has eight apprentices working across its three restaurants.

“We are very excited to launch this new training academy,” said chef/proprietor of Mason Belles Kitchen, Linsey Scott.

“As a business we have always been committed to bringing young people on in the industry. We are now able to formalise this with the creation of the Academy.

“Never has this been more important or needed as our sector recovers from the ravages of COVID-19.”

Scott added that there had been a “positive response” from young people the company had already spoken to.

“We’re delighted to announce that we will have a number of trainee and apprenticeships company-wide,” she said.
