Cru moves into The White House

Former owner Charlie Barbour with Cru Holdings director Ken Loades.

CRU Holdings, the SLTN Award-winning hospitality group, has expanded its portfolio with the addition of Inverness bar and restaurant The White House.

The takeover has seen Cru retain 15 staff at the venue and extend the tenancy of the property by 20 years.

“When the opportunity presented itself to add The White House to the Cru Holdings family, we knew it was the right move,” said Cru director, Ken Loades.

“Its reputation for incredible cocktails and delicious food aligns perfectly with everything we strive to achieve in our venues.”

Loades added that existing White House gift vouchers would be honoured by Cru, while Cru Holdings vouchers would now be accepted at The White House.

Cru’s portfolio includes venues in Inverness and Nairn, with The White House bringing the company to seven units.

At the 2021 SLTN Awards the company was named Multiple Operator of the Year (4-7 outlets), with the group’s Scotch & Rye bar winning Craft Beer Bar of the Year.
