THE Scottish Government has updated its guidance for the tourism and hospitality sector ahead of the relaxation of restrictions on Monday (9th August).

As well as reiterating rules announced earlier this week – such as customers being allowed to stand while drinking and nightclub customers being allowed to dance without masks – the updated FAQ section covers activities such as pool and darts (face coverings are still required for those activities) and karaoke (singers are exempt from wearing masks) as well as stating that customers will be allowed to queue and drink at the bar.

Premises will still legally be required to collect customer details for Test & Protect and any staff within a metre of either a colleague or customer must wear a face covering. Face coverings should also be worn by customers while moving around the premises.
