INDUSTRY charity the Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland has named Christopher Campbell, managing director of Campbells Prime Meat, as the recipient of its Industry Award.
The title is awarded each year to an individual who “stands head and shoulders above his or her per group for services to the hospitality industry in Scotland”.
Individuals are nominated for the accolade by colleagues in the industry, with nominations then passed to a HIT Scotland judging panel.
A statement from HIT Scotland said: “This year, one name came forward many more times than anyone else. We are delighted to recognise Christopher Campbell, managing director of Campbells Prime Meat, as the 2020 HIT Industry Award winner.
“Over the years, Christopher has quietly supported the industry through generous provision of goods, training and development of individuals, driven quality standards and managed every challenge that has been thrown at the supply chain.
“It is right and proper that the suppliers are recognised especially in this unique year.”
