GLASGOW’S west end has a new gastropub in the form of The Loveable Rogue.
The pub and restaurant, on Great Western Road, is owned and operated by chef Joe Lazzerini and partner Amalia Colaluca and is positioned as a family-friendly neighbourhood restaurant serving home-cooked comfort food. It opens its doors today (September 10).
The menu at the 60-cover restaurant (currently 48 with COVID-19 restrictions) includes dishes such as monkfish cheek scampi and chicken kiev with curry as well as a range of pies, sharing boards and traditional Sunday roast dinners.
Lazzerini said The Loveable Rogue is “offering hearty, unfussy and delicious food that everyone can tuck into”.
“The all-day menu will introduce a very different flavour profile for our guests and will offer a welcoming atmosphere and homely feel – a place that needs no pretence to go along at any time of the day and enjoy,” he said.
Colaluca added: “For us a good pub offers more than just the drinks available at the bar – it’s the small touches, the little things and the care put into everything that we believe will help us stand out.
“Combining our focus on comfort food and a friendly neighbourhood service The Loveable Rogue creates a cosy dining environment that is dynamic yet relaxed – the kind of space Joe and I like to eat in.”
The venue is open Tuesday to Sunday from 12 noon.
