Tennent’s pledges free pints

Brewer and wholesaler is distributing complimentary kegs to venues across Scotland

Tennent’s managing director, Kenny Gray

TENNENT’S has pledged to offer consumers around Scotland a free pint as it distributes complimentary kegs to more than 2000 venues around the country.

From today (July 8), Tennent’s will be distributing kegs of Tennent’s Lager and Tennent’s Light to trade customers that have registered with the brewer and wholesaler’s online portal, Tennent’s Direct.

The company will also be sending reopening point of sale kits to around 1000 outlets.

A television and social media campaign will then kick off on July 15 as venues reopen their doors. It will offer members of the public a free pint of either Tennent’s Lager or Tennent’s Light at participating venues. Consumers will be able to claim their free pint by visiting the Tennent’s Dedicated to You website, filling out a short form and selecting a participating venue.

Tennent’s managing director, Kenny Gray, said: “Tennent’s has always been dedicated to Scotland’s on-trade and we’ve launched this campaign as a further measure to support recovery after the most difficult period ever faced by the industry.

“We want to help drive footfall back into licensed premises, kickstarting the country’s hospitality industry by dedicating a pint to drinkers across Scotland.”
