GLASGOW is winding up for a week of cocktail-centric activities next week as the city prepares to host the global finals of Diageo’s World Class Bartender of the Year competition.
The final of the contest, which attracts entries from across the world, will take place on September 25 and 26. And to capitalise on the high profile of the event Glasgow Cocktail Weekend has this year become Glasgow Cocktail Week, with events taking place across the city in conjunction with Diageo World Class.
Events will include a whisky and seafood dinner for Talisker at Gamba; bar takeovers across the city; and discounted cocktails in venues including Hutchesons, Kelvingrove Café and The Gate.
The week culminates in a two-day event at The Arches, on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 September, which will include ten pop-up bars.
