THEIR role in bars is as varied as the category itself, and that has no doubt helped maintain sales of liqueurs and speciality spirits.
Now worth £116 million in the Scottish on-trade, up from £115m last year, the category is led by Jägermeister, which retains the top spot, while Edinburgh Gin’s Rhubarb & Ginger Liqueur has rocketed up the ranking from seventh to take the number two spot in CGA’s listing.
And there’s been a slight reshuffle with the rest of the top five. Luxardo is up one place to number three, and both Sourz and Baileys have moved down two places to fourth and fifth respectively.
