Itison’s Norman in pubs deal

Sloans was the entrepreneurs’ first venue.

OLI Norman, the founder of deals website Itison, has taken full ownership of the seven Glasgow venues he previously co-owned with business partner Stephen White.

The entrepreneurs had been in business together since 2010 and grew their portfolio to include Glasgow venues Sloans, Brel, Maggie May’s, The Griffin, Epicures of Hyndland, Nick’s Italian Kitchen and Bar and Finnieston bar Jacques. The group is said to be valued at over £15 million.

In a statement White said the business partners had “achieved strong, sustained growth in a very competitive market and I felt that it was the right time to sell my share of the business to Oli and move on to my next venture”. “I’ve got some very interesting opportunities which I’m keen to take forward in the coming months,” he added.

Norman said the partnership had been “incredibly successful”.

“I’m excited about the future, particularly following the recent acquisition of Nick’s, Epicures and Jacques, with major plans in store for them.”

White separately owns Glasgow bars Blackfriars and Munro’s.
