TRAINING requirements for the renewal of personal licences are expected to be confirmed by the Scottish Government by the end of this month.
As reported in SLTN, thousands of personal licence holders are awaiting clarity on which training course must be undertaken in order to renew licences which are due to expire on August 31, 2019. The window for the first tranche of renewal applications opens next month (August 31, 2018) and closes on May 31, 2019.
The Scottish Government last week issued a draft document on the personal licence renewals process to ‘stakeholders’ and is expected to confirm training requirements by the end of July. It has also launched a consultation on proposals to set a renewal fee of £50.
