COLONSAY Gin producer, Wild Thyme Spirits, has released the first batch of gin since shifting production to its new island distillery.
The gin, named Wild Thyme 909, is a limited edition bottling of the company’s flagship spirit and pays tribute to the island’s Viking heritage. It features the Viking maiden, Alva, on its packaging; it is said to be 909 years since she was stranded on Colonsay.
Fin Geekie, who runs the company with wife Eileen, said the team was “excited to be bringing production home to the island”.
