A GLASGOW cocktail bar has been named as one of the best new bars in the world by a major travel publication.
Drugstore Social, on Old Dumbarton Road, was the only Scottish bar – and one of only two UK entries – to feature on Condé Nast Traveller’s list of the Hottest New Bars in the World.
Drugstore, which opened its doors late last year, is owned and operated by Glasgow-based bar and restaurant group Kained Holdings.
Marketing and brands manager James Kemp said staff at the venue are “buzzing” with the listing.
“We’ve been focusing a lot of attention on the Drugstore over the last few months with our PR and trying to get the word out about the venue,” said Kemp. “But we didn’t send anything out to [Traveller], so they must have heard about us somehow, come in and enjoyed it, which is great.”
