A NEW owner is being sought for a Borders pub described as the ‘hub’ of its local community.
Owned and operated by Kenny Macpherson for the past decade, The Swan in Earlston currently trades on a wet sales only basis. But Cornerstone Business Agents, which is marketing the pub with a guide price of £125,000, said it has identified areas which could be converted into a kitchen, enabling the introduction of a food offer.
Cornerstone’s Derek Burgoyne said: “The Swan is an idyllic country pub, with an open fire and welcoming ambience.
“Kenny Macpherson has successfully created a pub that is the hub of the local community, hosting a darts and pool team as well as a football team.”
