Highland lodge changes hands

A VICTORIAN lodge in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park has changed hands in a deal brokered by property firms Cornerstone Business Agents and Strutt & Parker.

Suidhe Lodge in Kincraig near Aviemore was sold for an undisclosed sum from an asking price of ÂŁ795,000 after 23 years under the same ownership.

Dating from 1890, the property now comprises six en suite letting rooms, a dining room, a guest lounge and self-contained pub, the Suie Bar. There’s also three-bedroom owner’s accommodation on the second floor of the property; and a three-bedroom garden cottage in the grounds.

Barry McNeil of Cornerstone, who handled the sale jointly with Euan MacCrimmon of Strutt & Parker, said: “The sale represents a further increase in demand for Highland lifestyle property.

“We are pleased at the levels of interest the property and business achieved in a very quick and successful marketing campaign.”
