GLASGOW bar McPhabbs has reopened following a facelift which included the introduction of a new ‘pop-up’ style basement bar.
Representing a £75,000 joint investment between operator Three Grand Ltd and pub company Punch, the refurbishment saw McPhabbs given a complete facelift comprising an overhauled outdoor area, new fixtures and fittings in the ground floor bar as well as the creation of the basement bar, which will now trade under the name Easy Tiger.
A new food offer has also been introduced to coincide with the makeover, with dishes on the menu including soft shell crab burgers and a Sunday roast that’s said to take cues from America’s ‘deep south’.
Iain Thomson, business development manager at Punch, said the investment has “proven to be a great success”.
“[McPhabbs] is always booming with customers whether it’s daytime businesses or tourists,” said Thomson.
