A HIGHLAND hotel in the picturesque village of Strathpeffer has come onto the books of property firm Strutt & Parker.
On the market at offers over ÂŁ750,000, the Strathpeffer Hotel has a 100-cover restaurant, an 80-cover bistro/bar area, and 46 en suite bedrooms, of which 28 are double/twin rooms, ten are family rooms and the rest are single rooms.
There is also a detached ten-bedroom annexe next to the hotel, which is available by separate negotiation. The annexe is currently used as additional letting accommodation but is said to offer “fantastic potential to develop into a residential property, subject to obtaining the appropriate consents”; planning permission has been granted for an extension to provide six additional rooms.
The Strathpeffer Hotel, which has been under its current ownership since 2003, is described as a “highly profitable enterprise” which has an “excellent reputation”. It is said to attract trade from around the world, with a large part of the business coming from contracts with bus tour companies.
Joanna Lindsay of Strutt & Parker said the sale of the Strathpeffer Hotel offers a “fantastic opportunity for a couple already within the trade looking to move up the ladder to a high quality establishment, a corporate hotel operator or an investor purchasing a profitable business”.
