Highland farm a cathedral of craft spirits

009_Arbikie Gin & VodxkaA SCOTTISH craft distiller has scooped two ‘best in UK’ prizes at the World Drink Awards.
Arbikie Highland Estate picked up the Best UK Varietal Vodka and UK Traditional Gin prizes for its Arbikie Potato Vodka and Kirsty’s Gin brands.
Iain Stirling, commercial director at Arbikie Highland Estate, said it was an honour to win the awards.
“We are only in year two, so to be recognised by such a prestigious awards body is fantastic,” he said.
“All credit must go to Kirsty [Black] and Christian [Perez], our two distillers who strive for perfection in everything they do.”
Arbikie Highland Estate is a 2000-acre farm-based business on the east coast. Arbikie is a single estate distillery, meaning everything is grown, distilled, matured and bottled at one location.
The firm launched Arbikie Potato Vodka in October 2014 followed by Kirsty’s Gin in 2015.
