Three west of Scotland pubs have come onto the books of property agent Smith & Clough.
The freeholds for The Yard in Paisley, The Sou Wester Tavern in Bridge Street, Glasgow, and Coopers in Main Street, Wishaw, are for sale with ‘vacant possession’; they are currently being let.
Located close to the University of the West of Scotland’s Paisley campus, The Yard comprises a single bar operation with a mezzanine level; offers around £110,000 are being sought for the Paisley pub.
The Sou Wester, meanwhile, occupies a corner location in Glasgow’s Tradeston area, close to the O2 Academy.
On the market with an asking price of offers around £125,000, it is also a single bar operation with a games area on the ground floor and the kitchen and storage in the basement.
The third pub – Coopers in Wishaw – comprises a public bar and a small function room to the rear and is said to be in good condition; offers are being invited for the freehold.
Graeme Smith of Smith & Clough, who is handling the sale, said the properties have been placed on the market by a multiple operator who is looking to “down size” their portfolio.
“The businesses are in busy locations and offer an excellent business proposition for either another private multiple operator to add onto an existing portfolio or as a single asset purchase for a first time operator with experience in the trade,” said Smith.
