THE firm behind ale brand John Smith’s is giving consumers the chance to own one of the 100 stars in what’s claimed to be the world’s first ‘pint glass-shaped’ constellation.
Part of the ‘Only Ordinary By Name’ marketing campaign for the brand, the John Smith’s Constellation activity aims to “make stars of ordinary John Smith’s lovers”.
Consumers who are “ordinary by name but possess extraordinary talents” are invited to upload a short video of them showcasing their skill to johnsmiths.co.uk to be in with a chance of winning a star. Once shortlisted, the star owners will be featured in a video on the digital platform alongside the star that belongs to them so that consumers can follow the full story of the constellation online.
Ifeoma Dozie of John Smith’s said: “What ale lover wouldn’t want their very own piece of the universe’s first ever pint glass-shaped star constellation? It’s a real talking point and something we think our consumers will be chatting to their mates about in the pub.”
