THE owners of what is claimed to be the UK’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery have launched a crowdfunding campaign as they look to expand the business.
Edinburgh-based Bellfield Brewery has already raised more than £85,990 of capital through private and initial contributions.
The firm hopes a remaining £64,100 will be raised by members of the public using the www.crowdcube.com site.
Gareth Howells, co-founder of the brewery, said: “We believe the best way for us to put the UK’s first dedicated gluten-free brewery on the map is to bring in investors to own a share of this exciting new business.
“They will be our first customers and ultimately the ambassadors for the brand we aim to build.”
