AN Orkney hotel has changed hands in a deal brokered by Bruce & Co.
Originally built as a fish store back in 1860, the Sands Hotel, in the village of Burray, was acquired by an undisclosed buyer. It was sold on behalf of locals John and Evelyn Gunn, who have owned the hotel since 1997.
The property, which overlooks the beach and Burray harbour, has six en suite bedrooms and two suites as well as a bar and restaurant.
