Gold standard at Italian eatery

GLASGOW restaurant Bella Napoli has got into the spirit of this month’s Commonwealth Games with a new gold pizza oven.

Claimed to be a world first, the oven was built by Bella Napoli proprietor Domenico Crolla, who is also introducing edible gold leaf to many of the restaurant’s dishes for the duration of the Games.
Crolla is also donating the cost of the gold leaf to food bank charity Glasgow City Mission.
