Best Bar None sweeps the nation

PUBS from across Scotland celebrated victory at the Best Bar None Awards last week.

Leith bar Sofi’s was crowned Best Bar None National Champion and also scooped the Heart of the Community Awards at the ceremony on March 27.
In Glasgow, Coopers, Driftwood, Champagne Central and The University of Strathclyde Students’ Union all picked up prizes.
Outside the central belt, Dundee’s Klozet won Best Independent Bar while Garage Aberdeen grabbed Best Nightclub and The Grosvenor G Casino Aberdeen was crowned best specialist entertainment venue.
Behind the Wall in Falkirk was named Best Independent Pub and Fraserburgh bar Cheers took the Best Use of Innovation gong.
Mandy Haeburn-Little of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, which runs the Best Bar None scheme, said this year’s awards “was one of the most keenly contested national award ceremonies in years”.
