A NEW website promising to revolutionise the way whisky is purchased – for the trade and consumers – has just been launched.
WhiskyMarketplace.com adopts a price comparison model similar to that already seen in the finance, property and automotive sectors.
Visitors can search for whisky on a range of criteria, including a specific brand or vintage, price and awards won, before the site searches a number of whisky retail websites and presents the best deals.
WhiskyMarketplace.com was created by brothers Pierre and Jean-Luc Thiebaut, combining Pierre’s whisky knowledge with Jean-Luc’s technical expertise.
The pair have previously created whisky-focused social networking website connosr.com.
Pierre Thiebaut said the site is easy to use while allowing users to be very specific about the whiskies they are searching for.
“We approached the creation of www.whiskymarketplace.com as whisky enthusiasts first and foremost,” he said. “And we will continue to develop it with genuinely useful features that appeal to whisky fans and expand the pleasure of discovering new whiskies.”
