Brewer bolsters online ordering service

Tennent’s has beefed up its digital services for the on-trade with the introduction of a new ordering app.

Sales director Alan Hay said customer service is a “key priority” for Tennent’s.

Available on both Android and iOS, the Tennent’s App allows on-trade customers to access Tennent’s wholesale business and place ‘one tap’ orders.

Publicans using the app will also receive notifications on their device with the latest offers from Tennent’s as well as a number of exclusive app-only deals.

The app has been launched in conjunction with the roll out of ePOD (electronic proof of delivery) for Tennent’s customers, which is expected to improve the firm’s distribution service by utilising the latest logistics technology as well as offering real-time order and vehicle tracking and paperless e-billing.

Alan Hay, on-trade sales director at Tennent’s, said the firm is committed to supporting Scotland’s hospitality sector.

“It’s a key priority to deliver the highest level of customer service in Scotland, these latest initiatives will assist in helping to make our range and offers more visible, enabling customers to manage orders more efficiently,” said Hay.
