A new ‘dining, music and entertainment destination’ is to open in the former site of ‘October’ on the upper floor of Glasgow’s Princes Square.
The venue has been taken on by the team behind Duke St Italian restaurant Grosso, who promise a ‘dramatic transformation’ of the space to create the sophisticated social dining experience of ‘Le Set’.
The plan is to offer ‘refined small plates, premium cocktails, renowned DJs and exceptional hospitality’ in a sophisticated atmosphere inspired by contemporary dining destinations across Europe.
Co-founder Si Ferry said: “Glasgow knows how to have a good time better than most cities, but we felt there was still room for something different.

“We’ve taken inspiration from some of the best hospitality experiences across Europe, where exceptional food, great drinks and music all sit naturally alongside one another.
“There are incredible restaurants and brilliant bars across Glasgow, but there aren’t many places where those elements come together in one seamless experience. That’s what we’re creating with Le Set.
“We want people to come for dinner, stay for the atmosphere and find themselves still there hours later.”
Co-founder Jordan Allan added: “Music is a huge part of the experience. As the night progresses, the energy in the room changes. People are up, they’re socialising, they’re dancing and they’re having a brilliant time.

“The former October site deserves something special and we’re really excited to completely reimagine one of the most recognisable hospitality spaces in Glasgow.”
Le Set is being designed to create a seamless experience where guests can arrive for dinner and stay long into the night, with a programme of ‘renowned DJs, immersive entertainment and a late licence until 1am’.
CGI pre-visualisations of the redesign being led by Zoe Wheatley – whose previous work includes projects for Six by Nico and Cut & Craft – are said to show rich textures, dramatic lighting and luxurious finishes.

The venue will accommodate approximately 200 guests standing and seated and will create over 25 new jobs when it opens later this year.
