Superlative puts on a fashion show between Princes Square venues

The Princes Square event neatly combines the mall’s fashion offering with its food-and-drink venues.

Glasgow’s upmarket Princes Square shopping mall is to become a multi-level catwalk for a charity fashion show put on by the Superlative Group, which has no less than three venues within the building.

The ‘Fashion is a Force For Good’ fashion show will take place on Friday 21st November, in collaboration with Smart Works Scotland, a charity which provides high-quality interview coaching and clothing to unemployed women.

Models will start at Superlative’s Maison by Glaschu on the upper floor, then walk their way down through the mall to The Delphine, showcasing the latest in ready-to-wear luxury fashion.

For a £45 ticket, guests can enjoy after-hours shopping until 8pm, the fashion show, plus two courses and two drinks at either of those restaurants, with £5 from each ticket sold being donated to Smart Works.

There will also be a raffle, offering prizes across the Superlative estate, then a live DJ and afterparty in The Delphine.

Some of Princes Square’s favourite retail brands, including All Saints, French Connection and the soon-to-open Anthropologie will all feature in the show, with shoes by Carvella and Kurt Geiger.

SpaceNK will be contributing to the models’ makeup, with Bloom Salon doing the models’ hair.

Smart Works Scotland has been operating for more than 11 years, helping unemployed women prepare for job interviews, with confidence boosting clothes and advice. More than two thirds of the women who access Smart Works Scotland’s services reportedly gain jobs within one month.

Superlative’s Courtney Flynn said: “We are thrilled to team up with Smart Works Scotland and bring this special show to Princes Square.

“At Superlative Collection, we believe that fashion has the power to uplift communities and create positive change. This collaboration allows us to celebrate style while making a real impact.

“With three vibrant venues already in Princes Square, and a fourth on the way – we’re so proud to be part of the heartbeat of this iconic destination. Our aim of this event is to shine a spotlight on Princes Square as more than just a shopping destination – when the shops close, the party begins!

“We’re leaning into the pull of the centre to show Glasgow that when the doors shut, the fun truly starts and carries on into the wee hours.”

Chair of the Board of Smart Works Scotland, Yvonne Brady, added: “We are delighted that Smart Works Scotland has been chosen as the charity partner for this year’s fashion show.

“This partnership is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate style and confidence – values that lie at the heart of what we do. Every outfit we provide and every coaching session we deliver helps women across Scotland feel empowered to realise their potential.”

The Superlative Collection’s portfolio of eight city centre venues includes Princes Square’s Maison by Glaschu, The Delphine, and sports bar The Clubhouse, with the opening of its second Cuvee champagne bar imminent.
