Independent breweries have come together to celebrate Scotland’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a beer collaboration in support of a Scottish children’s charity founded by football fans.
The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal (TASA) has partnered with a host of Scottish craft breweries to launch the ‘Everywhere We Brew: TASA Beer Series’ – a collection of limited-edition beers marking Scotland’s return to football’s biggest stage while raising funds for children in need.
The initiative will launch with a tap takeover on Wednesday 20 May at the Shilling Brewing Company on West George Street in Glasgow, the first in a planned series of events bringing together football supporters, beer enthusiasts, and local communities.
This will be followed by a second tap takeover in Edinburgh on Friday 22 May, at craft beer specialists The Hanging Bat, on Lothian Road.
A portion of profits from every beer sold will be donated directly to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, a charity that has, since its foundation in 2003, raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for children’s charities, making donations at over 100 consecutive Scotland matches around the world.
Rhode Island-based organisation Project Goal has been selected as the charity recipient for the FIFA World Cup 2026 Tournament, and TASA will make a £5000 donation on the day of the Haiti v Scotland game.
Secretary for the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, Clark Gillies, said: “Scotland qualifying for the 2026 World Cup is something supporters have dreamed about for decades, so we wanted to mark the occasion in a way that reflects the spirit of the Tartan Army.
“By working with some of Scotland’s fantastic independent breweries, the ‘Everywhere We Brew’ series allows fans to celebrate together while helping us continue our work supporting children’s charities both at home and abroad.”
Participating breweries include the Bute Brew Co; Five Kingdoms Brewery (Isle of Whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway); Loch Lomond Brewery; Moonwake Beer Co (Edinburgh); Pilot Beer (Edinburgh); Sheep in Wolf’s Clothing Brewery (Dunblane); Two Towns Down (Paisley); and Vault City Brewing (Edinburgh).
All the special edition cans and bottles will feature TASA branding and information about the charity’s work supporting vulnerable children, helping to raise awareness alongside funds.
The beers will be available to sample during the taproom takeover events, where supporters will have the chance to try the full series, meet the brewers involved and learn more about the charity’s work.
Additionally, the beers will be available for purchase in-person and online from select independent bottle shops across Scotland including Wee Beer Shop, Glasgow, which is selling bespoke packs of the collab beers with shipping available across mainland UK.
Supporters are encouraged to attend the events, enjoy the collaboration beers and help support the charity’s mission of improving the lives of children both in Scotland and abroad.
