Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has confirmed that its first ever Scottish pizzeria – and 42nd across the UK – will be opening in Glasgow city centre this autumn.
Work is now underway at the new pizzeria’s site, in a 135-cover space at 35 Gordon Street.
Since launching in Manchester’s Ancoats in 2015, Rudy’s has grown into a popular pizzeria chain, notable for its light, double fermented dough and ‘unwavering dedication to true Neopolitan craft’.
Testament to its claimed authenticity, Rudy’s is the largest organisation in the world to be accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, the international body that protects and promotes traditional Neapolitan pizza making.
Rudy’s has also been recognised among the World’s 50 Best Pizzerias, ranking 23rd globally for 2025.
Each of its pizzas, from the classic Margherita to the fiery Calabrese, is made to AVPN standards using traditional techniques and ingredients sourced directly from Italy.
Managing director of Rudy’s, Neal Bates, said: “Establishing a Scottish home for Rudy’s has long been an ambition of ours, so we can’t wait to welcome the people of Glasgow through our doors.
“Although known for the people who make it, the city has such a vibrant and diverse food and drink scene that we are buzzing to become part of, as we say ciao to our new neighbours and celebrate our opening.”
Rudy’s new Glasgow venue has a number of roles available, including both front and back of house staff and supervisors.
