Bringing the traditional social club into the modern day, Langside Social has opened its doors in Glasgow’s Southside following an extensive refurbishment.
Described as a ‘modern entertainment and social hub’, the reimagined Pollokshaws Road site is said to combine the community spirit of a members’ club with a fresh approach to eating, drinking and entertainment.
Langside Social is the latest project from the team behind Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s and Glasgow pub The Laurieston. While snooker and pool remain at the heart of the operation, the offering has been broadened with digital darts and private karaoke rooms.

Behind the bar, there’s a wide-ranging drinks menu led by Langside Social’s own Langside Lager on draught, alongside Guinness, Murphy’s, Birra Moretti, Cruzcampo, Jubel Peach and Neck Oil, plus a selection of ciders, spirits and low and no-alcohol options.
Cocktails and margaritas are all £10, with classics including Espresso Martini, Negroni, Paloma, Aperol Spritz and Old Fashioned joined by playful serves such as the Candyfloss Fizz and Strawberry Yuzu Fizz.
The margarita menu includes Classic, Blackberry & Jalapeño and Mango & Coconut, alongside a rotating seasonal cocktail.

Taking over the kitchen is Antojitos, the team behind the food in The 78 and Paradise Palms, bringing its vibrant Mexican-inspired street food to the Southside.
The 100% plant-based and nut-free menu features birria tacos, al pastor tacos, fried ch*kn tacos and tacos de canasta alongside loaded nachos, tattie scone nachos and haggis taquitos, and will be available from midday until 9pm, seven days a week.
The transformation also extends to the outside of the venue, where there is now an eye-catching wraparound mural by artist Marco, aka Baxter, of All Good Murals.
Langside Social general manager Michael McBride, said: “Being local myself, I’m really excited to see this next chapter for Langside Social come to life.
“The Southside has such a brilliant atmosphere and a real sense of people wanting to get together, and we wanted to create somewhere that adds to that.
“Whether you’re coming in for food and a drink, a few frames of pool, darts or karaoke, we want Langside Social to be somewhere people can come together, have a great time and feel at home.”
Langside Social remains a members’ snooker and pool club, with an accessible annual membership starting from £25 and day passes also available.
Members will receive access to exclusive offers throughout the year, while free day passes are available for Blue Light employees, NHS staff and OAPs.
