Edinburgh’s Lost Shore Surf Resort has officially launched ‘Lost Food’, a new in-house food and drink concept headed up by international chef, restaurateur and hospitality consultant Jason Wright.

The award-winning inland surf resort, home to Europe’s largest powered wave pool, claims to offer the ‘thrill of the ocean’ just 10 minutes drive from Edinburgh Airport.

But while inland surfing is its headline attraction, the site’s extensive grounds include 53 luxury chalets and pods, with access to woodland and canal-side walks, and spa facilities.

The addition of Lost Food brings three separate food outlets – ‘Lost Kitchen’, ‘Lost Tacos’ and ‘Lost Deli’.

Wright said: “We are incredibly excited to launch a brand new in-house food and drink concept, with something for everyone.

“Lost Food is the culinary heartbeat of Lost Shore. It will be an all-day dining hub from morning until night, with our on-site market coming very soon.

“The food brings bold, fresh flavours and simple cooking to the shores of the world class wave pool. With lots of exciting events and collaborations planned in the New Year, we can’t wait to share Lost Food with you all.”

Lost Food serves breakfast, and an all-day menu; Lost Deli serves home-made salads and freshly baked focaccia sandwiches; while Lost Taco has more of a focus on ‘fun and fresh flavours’.

This is just the first phase of Lost Food. Opening soon will be ‘Lost Market’, an onsite grocery shop with home-made produce and branded ‘Get Lost’ products to take away or order from one of Lost Shore’s on site chalet or pods.

Phase two will see Lost Kitchen launch an evening menu in the spring, which will run alongside Lost Taco until late. This will offer a mix of small and larger dishes, perfect for sharing, which will complement the simple classic cocktail and wine menu.
