Diageo has announced that its head of advocacy, Claire Warner, has stepped down from the role after a ‘hugely impactful’ tenure.

Since joining the global drinks giant, Warner is said to have been instrumental in championing advocacy and community within the drinks industry.

She reportedly leaves Diageo ‘to embark on a new chapter as a consultant dedicated to bridging health and hospitality’.

Warner said: “It’s been an incredible privilege to champion the amazing people in our industry during my time at Diageo.

“From working on the World Class Cocktail Competition and Festival, to helping bring the World Class Spirited Women Program to life, to recently celebrating our Community Day with London Cocktail Week – there have been so many highlights.

“I’ve learned so much and have been inspired by my brilliant colleagues and industry peers, not just in the UK but around the world, and I’ve seen first-hand the power of community, mentorship, and collaboration,” she said.

“My passion remains rooted in shaping a healthier, more inclusive future for our industry, helping brands find ways to support both people and planet and championing bars as integral, true, third spaces for our ever-changing society.

“I’m excited for what comes next and to continue driving positive change across hospitality.”
