Glasgow’s cocktail scene is about to go into overdrive as Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight kicks off.
Running from Thursday 25th September to Wednesday 8th October, the festival is bringing two weeks of cocktail-fuelled events, tastings, masterclasses, rooftop parties, and more to over 75 of the city’s best bars.
An annual event since 2018, this year has seen the festival increase in duration from one week up to a fortnight, with backing from leading brands including Patrón Tequila, Grey Goose, St-Germain, Monkey Shoulder, Ben Lomond Gin, Brugal 1888 rum, Ardbeg, and Glenmorangie whisky.
With a £5 festival wristband from www.glasgowcocktailfortnight.com and all the participating bars, customers get access to no less than 225 discounted cocktails priced from £7, and exclusive events across the city.
Wristband holders will find three signature serves at each venue, including Kelvingrove Café, Absent Ear, House of Gods, The Gate, Champagne Central, Sebb’s, Locale, and Si! Si! at The Social Hub — with £2 off every drink on the festival menu.
The GCF festivities begin with a launch night at SiSi on Thursday 25th, which will feature signature cocktails by Sebb’s, SiSi, Absent Ear and The Gate, alongside DJs and tarot, in the recently opened rooftop venue.
There is also a Spritz Saturday Day Party At VEGA, with DJ Jay Celino on the decks and exclusive cocktails from £7 and St-Germain Spritzes for guests.
For an extra charge, there are masterclasses at VEGA on both festival Saturdays, where guests can explore the art of cocktail-making in an interactive 45-minute session, with tastings and take-home tips.
Also in the line up is a Whisky Weekender at The Gate on Sat 27 + Sun 28th – a mini whisky festival complete with brunches, tastings, parties and exclusive drams. Secure your ticket via https://thegateglasgow.com/whisky-weekender
