St. Andrews’ Seaton House joins Small Luxury Hotels of the World

Valor Hospitality’s newly launched St. Andrews boutique hotel, Seaton House, has been added to the Small Luxury Hotels of the World global portfolio.

The five-star hotel, located near the 18th green of the Old Course at St Andrews, has been added to the prestigious list at the same time as Valor’s Dunluce Lodge in Northern Ireland, which overlooks the fourth fairway at Royal Portrush.

Both have been ‘visited, verified and vetted’ by representatives of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and will now benefit from inclusion on its list of 620 hotels, in more than 90 countries across the world, offering ‘secluded, discrete options’ with the highest standards of luxury and guest wellbeing.

Seaton House is the first hotel in St. Andrews to join this portfolio, while Dunluce Lodge becomes just the second Northern Irish hotel to feature.

Created out of the refurbishment of the Scores Hotel, Seaton House has 42 luxury bedrooms, including six suites and three junior suites, and offers a range of dining options, curated by acclaimed Chef Patron Roy Brett, across its bar and restaurants, The Board Room and Ondine Oyster & Grill.

Chief executive at Valor Hospitality, Euan McGlashan, said: “It’s an honour Small Luxury Hotels of the World has included both of these wonderful hotels in its portfolio.

“To be on a global platform like this, having only opened six months ago, is a true testament to the distinct sense of place both hotels offer. We’re proud to see our guest experience is so highly valued in such a short period of time.”

Managing partner at Links Collection, Jonathan Harper, said: “Both Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House offer golfers the perfect European setting for unforgettable breaks.

“This recognition from Small Luxury Hotels of the World is testament to both the genuine Irish and Scottish hospitality on display at both venues.

“Guests at either venue will enjoy wonderful getaways in two truly iconic venues with so many unique offerings to explore.”

Chief Operating Officer at Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Richard Hyde, said: “Dunluce Lodge and Seaton House guests enjoy genuine and intimate luxury in both hotels.

“We are thrilled to include them in diverse portfolio of properties that offer something for every discerning, independently minded traveller.”
