Glasgow Cocktail Week grows to become Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight!

With six weeks to go until its start, Glasgow Cocktail Week has highlighted its ‘biggest-ever’ programme by adopting a brand-new name – Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight.

The festival will now run from Thursday, 25th September, until Wednesday, 8th October 2025, bringing 14 days of discounted cocktail experiences, parties, and exclusive menus to the city.

Since launching in 2018 to celebrate the best of Glasgow’s bars, bartenders, and cocktail culture, the event has grown year on year, but continues to be independently organised and run by its founder, Nicola Gemmell-Moir, with the same mission to champion the city’s vibrant hospitality scene.

Nicola Gemmell-Moir immerses herself in her work.

This year, wristband holders can unlock three exclusive signature serves at over 55 top venues, including Kelvingrove Café, Absent Ear, House of Gods, The Gate, Champagne Central, Sebb’s, Locale, and the new arrival Si! Si! at Social Hub — with £2 off every drink on the festival menu.

Festival-goers can also dive deeper with two Saturdays of interactive masterclasses at VEGA’s brand-new horseshoe bar.

Highlights include a Champagne PIAFF tasting, St-Germain spritz sessions, TikTok-famous Dirty Spritz, rum, whisky and tequila workshops, and a Ben Lomond Gin masterclass exploring negronis, gin fizzes, and brambles.

Other bookable events on the festival programme include a beauty, bubbles, and botanicals masterclass at Saints of Ingram on Sunday, 5th October, where four MAC Pro makeup artists will host live demos, with insider tips, canapes, a bespoke Ben Lomond Gin cocktail, and a mini bottle of Champagne PIAFF.

Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight will also host a Drag cocktail class for the first time ever on Friday, 27th September at the Corset Club. Queens Shego Sinner and Latex will help guests shake up two cocktails, then stay for the ‘wildest drag show in the city’.

Gemmell-Moir commented: “This festival was created with love for the city and its bars, and we’re proud to have grown it into one of Glasgow’s most exciting events.

“Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight is focused on delivering our biggest programme yet. We’ve always been about collaboration, community, and showcasing the amazing drinks scene here, and this year’s festival will be a true celebration of that.

“We’d like to thanks all our supporters – LVMH, William Grants, Bacardi, Loch Lomond Group and Edrington, the public and the city’s best bars for their continued support and we can’t wait to roll out Glasgow Cocktail Fortnight with over 55 venues this year, including Kelvingrove Café, Absent Ear, The Gate, Sebb’s, Locale, Devil of Brooklyn, Champagne Central and many more.”
