Sotto offers ‘Coravin at cost’ deal to its lunchtime customers

Neighbourhood enoteca and trattoria Sotto, in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge, is now offering ‘Coravin at cost’ premium wines to its fixed lunch menu customers

The first venture by Edinburgh-born sommelier James Clark, Sotto opened in October 2024, offering a thoughtfully-curated selection of over 200 wines, mixing modern and traditional styles and showcasing every region of Italy.

Set over two floors, Sotto comprises an upstairs enoteca wine bar, and a downstairs trattoria, which is led by Calabrian head chef Francesco Ascrizzi, who offers a menu combining seasonal British produce with classical Italian cookery.

Ascrizzi’s dishes are changed regularly to celebrate the best ingredients of both countries and the diversity of Italy’s culinary regions, with menu highlights such as panzanella toscana, pasta alla norma, Sotto caesar salad and torta del giorno.

From Sotto’s set lunch menu, diners can now order just one course for £16, or two/three at £22/£26, and have their food paired perfectly with ‘Coravin at cost’ picks – where a special bottle of wine from Sotto’s cellar is poured by the glass at cost price.

Only available for lunch sittings, ‘Coravin at cost’ is described as a great way to try some of Sotto’s premium wines on a budget.
