A digital business founded by a bartender-turned-entrepreneur is looking to help venues and brands alike to grow their sales.
Tavora is a digital platform that gives pub and bar customers the chance to win prizes by playing a game that is tied to their purchases in the venue. By linking the game to a particular brand or product, the Tavora team says the app can communicate key brand messages to customers and capture data, as well as help to drive sales in-venue.
The platform is the brainchild of Eilidh Mutch, a former bartender who spotted an opportunity to combine brand activations with games in a way that would be fun for customers as well as effective for brand owners and venues.
She told SLTN: “Tavora is a digital platform that integrates gamification directly into the order process at pubs, bars, and hospitality venues. It enables venues and brands to run activations that engage customers in real-time — think instant wins, challenges, and rewards delivered directly to the customer’s phone.

“It’s seamless for staff, requires no additional hardware, and creates memorable experiences that boost both sales and dwell time.”
For venues, Eilidh said the software ‘helps drive purchases, repeat visits, increase time spent on site and create a fun, interactive environment’ while, on the brand side, the platform provides ‘a powerful way to run targeted, measurable campaigns at scale’.
So far the company has worked with venues that include The Peartree and Piper’s Rest in Edinburgh as well as brands such as Asahi, Bacardi and BrewDog.
“Tavora works particularly well in high-footfall, high-energy environments — think sports bars, pubs, large casual dining venues, and event spaces,” said Eilidh.
“That said, we can tailor activations to suit smaller or more premium venues too.”
